The way I like to travel is by wandering & exploring by area.

Here are my TOP recs on what to do in Seoul, organized by area and iconic places.
Note: There are too many amazing cafes/restaurants so I will be leaving them out (also, the best ones are often times not the viral ones but are the random ones you stumble upon).
Hongdae, Yeonnamdong/Mapo-Gu
Start at Hongik University station
- SHOP, cafes, fried chicken, animal cafes, photobooths, karaoke, bars
- Eoulmadang-ro, Wausan-ro, Hongdae Shopping Street - actual shopping overload
Want to have the best Hongdae night ever?
- Pregame with Korean fried chicken + soju + beer. My go-to place is on the main bar street: Outdark Chicken Hongdae Branch.
- Want to pregame more?
- Go to the convenience store and get an ice cup + mix with green grape aid + soju
Explore More: A little above Hongdae is Yeonnamdong/Mapo-gu.
- You can route to the iconic salmon noodles: Mippeudong - https://naver.me/GsPFBLNL and explore this area - so many cute cafes, restaurants.
- Gyeongui Line Forest Park and Gyeongui Line Book Street - Leafy park trail with so many cute shops and cafes all along.
Itaewon, Hannam
Start at Itaewon Station
- EAT, restaurants, cafes, photobooths, bars
